It&#8217;s a follow-up to <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/free-for-all-the-last-of-us-documentary-now-on-youtube\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grounded<\/a><\/em>, the making-of for the first <em>Last of Us<\/em>, and will head to both YouTube and in-game for those who own <em>The Last of Us: Part II Remastered<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Grounded II: Making The Last of Us Part II is coming on February 2!<br><br>You&#39;ll be able to watch this documentary on YouTube and as part of an upcoming downloadable patch for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TLOU2Remastered?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#TLOU2Remastered<\/a>. In fact, one of my favorite documentaries is <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/god-of-war-documentary-raising-kratos-coming-to-youtube-soon\/\">Raising Kratos<\/a><\/em> by PlayStation and Santa Monica. Can&#8217;t get more geeky than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember watching the first <em>Grounded <\/em>documentary when I finished <em>The Last of Us Remastered<\/em> for the first time. It was amazing seeing how a simple idea can become as big as the original did. I did watch it again before<em> The Last of Us Part II<\/em>&#8216;s release, so to have a new documentary for <em>Part II<\/em> is kind of exciting, personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Last of Us Part II <\/em>is having its moment in the spotlight after its release in 2020. While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/crunch-once-again-in-the-spotlight-after-damning-report-on-the-last-of-us-2-developer-naughty-dog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">met with some controversy<\/a>, the game went home with dozens of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/here-are-all-the-winners-of-the-2020-game-awards\/\">Game of the Year awards<\/a>. Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/the-last-of-us-takes-home-eight-creative-emmy-awards\/\">the Emmy-winning HBO show<\/a> is going onto its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/hbos-the-last-of-us-has-been-renewed-for-a-second-season\/\">second season<\/a>, which is set to adapt the sequel, and growing out its main cast for characters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/kaitlyn-dever-cast-as-abby-in-the-last-of-us-season-2-hbo\/\">Abby<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/the-last-of-us-season-2-casts-young-mazino-as-jesse\/\">Jesse<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/isabela-merced-cast-as-dina-in-the-last-of-us-season-2\/\">Dina<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just last week, <em>The Last of Us Part II<\/em> got the remaster treatment for PlayStation 5. Our own Smangaliso Simelane rated the game a 9, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/reviews\/review-the-last-of-us-part-2-remastered\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saying in his review<\/a>: &#8220;Nevertheless, it manages to not only justify itself but also gives the most seasoned veterans something new to experience.&#8221; It&#8217;s a great time to be a <em>Last of Us<\/em> fan. Just, don&#8217;t watch it if you want to be blissful in ignorance of what happens in the sequel.
