To get you ready for the game, Ironwood Studios has <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/d_a1lbWoZQo?feature=shared\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">released a video<\/a> that covers the core gameplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It isn\u2019t hard to understand the basics of <em>Pacific Drive<\/em>, but there are a lot of deeper systems to keep in mind. For example, gathering anchor energy is important, but you might not realize how important it really is until you\u2019re caught in an area with reality collapsing around you. So, you can learn from your mistakes like I did, or you can watch this video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pacific Drive - Surviving the Zone | Gameplay Summary\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/d_a1lbWoZQo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Having played <em>Pacific Drive<\/em>, I can tell you that this 10-minute video is pretty all-encompassing, covering car maintenance, survival, scavenging, and upgrading. If you\u2019re not sure what the game is going to play like, this will tell you what it is and what it isn\u2019t. Also, look at it this way, it will allow you to glide through the tutorial parts pretty easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.destructoid.com\/pacific-drive-is-a-harrowing-road-trip-on-the-edge-of-reality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I previewed<\/a> <em>Pacific Drive<\/em> a while back, and while I have some reservations, my time with it left me excited to get my hands on the full experience. There\u2019s a lot of elements of what I love mixed in there, and I\u2019m wondering how well they\u2019ll fare when stretched out to a full experience.
